Kendall board clears way for fourth quarry

YORKVILLE -- Faced with a lawsuit that would be tough to defeat, the Kendall County Board has opened the doors to creation of a fourth quarry in the southern portion of the county.
The board voted Tuesday to settle a lawsuit with Vulcan Construction L.P. and rezone a 233-acre parcel at Route 47 and Joliet Road for mining.
