VMC committed to new op
November 5, 2007 - Vulcan Materials Company today filed a complaint against Kendall County regarding the denial of Vulcan's zoning application for the proposed Kendall County Quarry. The Company had stated previously that because the County did not hold to the standards it adopted for judging our application Vulcan would pursue every legal option to bring this first-class, socially and environmentally responsible operation to Kendall County's mining district. County staff, outside expert consultants, and the State's Attorneys office all uniformly indicated that Vulcan's application met every criterion for rezoning.
