Yorkville Chamber Announces Major Sponsor
The Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Vulcan Materials Company as the Presenting Sponsor of the Chamber's new community event, "River Night," to be held on Thursday, August 30th from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. at picturesque Riverfront Park in downtown Yorkville.
"We are very excited about partnering with the Chamber to bring a free, fun and entertaining evening for the entire family to Riverfront Park," said Steve Novak, the Vulcan Materials Company General Superintendent, who operates Lisbon quarry on Joliet Road. "We are committed to being an active part of the community, a socially-responsible neighbor and good stewards of the environment."
The entire community is invited to this entertaining evening under the stars, produced and hosted by the Yorkville Chamber. Kick off the Labor Day weekend at River Night! No admission fee - bring your friends and family.
"We welcome Vulcan Materials as one of our newest Premier Members to the Chamber," said Bobbi Burgstone, Executive Director of the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce. "Their support of area schools and community events like River Night and the county fair helps to enhance our quality of life in Kendall County."
Enjoy a relaxing summer night along the river. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available, along with food grilled by Stonefire Restaurant & Pub. Free entertainment will be performed by acoustic, classic rock group, "The Fabulous Frank & Dave." Tables and chairs will be set up in the pavilion, or you can bring a blanket and spread out on the lawn. The park also offers a playground for the children.
Proceeds from this new event will go toward the Yorkville Chamber's annual college scholarship for a graduating Yorkville High School senior, and the Chamber's Halloween festivities for the area children. For more information about River Night, contact the Yorkville Chamber at 630-553-6853.
