Vulcan Materials Named one of America's "Most Admired Companies" by Fortune Magazine
March 14, 2006 -- Vulcan Materials Company has been named one of America's "Most Admired Companies" for the fifth year by Fortune magazine. As part of the ranking, executives, directors and securities analysts were asked to rate companies in their own industry on eight criteria. The eight key criteria were: innovation, employee talent, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment and quality of products and services. In its industry category Vulcan rated number one in use of corporate assets, financial soundness and long-term investment.
