Vulcan Materials Company is proud to support the Newark High School girls basketball team in their run to the Illinois state basketball championship game. The Lisbon Quarry congratulated the Lady Norsemen by donating $500 to help cover transportation costs for the girls' trip Illinois State University.
Newark reached its first-ever championship game last week, losing an overtime thriller to Flanagan, 62-60. The Lady Norseman reached the championship game by defeating Moweaqua, 49-48 in overtime.
At the Lisbon Quarry, our entire team of employees, engineers and contractors continue to make equipment, safety and beautification improvements to the operation. We're also implementing the first structure/well protection program in the county.
